Description
The Thexton Disc-Type Battery Tester (117) is a professional-grade diagnostic tool designed for accurately assessing the state of charge of lead-acid batteries. Also known as a battery hydrometer, this tool provides a clear, visual reading of the battery’s specific gravity, a key indicator of its health and charge level. Built for reliability and ease of use, the 117 model is a staple in professional garages and a valuable tool for anyone serious about vehicle maintenance. Its simple yet effective design ensures accurate readings, even in harsh weather conditions, making it a dependable choice for a wide range of applications.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- Accurate Specific Gravity Measurement: The tester uses a system of floating, color-coded discs to indicate the specific gravity of the battery fluid. Each disc corresponds to a different charge level, allowing for a clear and immediate assessment of the battery’s health.
- Simple Visual Reading: The transparent body of the tester allows you to easily see the number of discs floating, providing a straightforward visual representation of the battery’s charge status without the need for complex digital displays or calculations.
- Durable and Reliable Construction: Made with a one-piece rubber bulb and a sturdy neoprene tip, this tool is built to last. Its robust design ensures it can withstand the demands of frequent professional use.
- Performance in Extreme Temperatures: Designed to provide accurate readings down to -40° F, the Thexton 117 remains effective in cold environments where battery performance is most critical. This makes it an essential tool for diagnostics in all seasons.
- Easy to Use: The simple, hand-held design makes the testing process quick and mess-free. Just draw a small amount of electrolyte into the tester, and the discs will instantly show the result.
