HOW TO USE:

1. Assess Wall Strength: Before installation, verify that the wall or structural element where the kit will be mounted provides adequate support for the combined weight of the mounting kit and the Ruffneck™ heater (up to 300 lbs / 136 kg).
2. Position the Kit: Determine the desired mounting location and height. Ensure sufficient clearance for heater maintenance, including fan/motor replacement, and at least 2 inches of space behind the fan motor for cooling.
3. Secure the Kit: Attach the wall mounting kit to the structural steel or concrete wall using appropriate bolts or by welding. Ensure all connections are secure and stable. For portable or transportable applications, use lock washers and provide additional structural reinforcement to withstand potential impacts and load conditions.
4. Mount the Heater: Carefully lift the Ruffneck™ FX5 or FX6 heater into position. Suspend the heater from the top of its cabinet by screwing two or four 5/8″ NC bolts into the internally threaded holes provided on the heater.
5. Final Checks: Confirm that the heater is securely fastened to the mounting kit and that all connections are tight. For steam service heaters, ensure the inlet is positioned above the outlet and that the core can drain towards the outlet for proper function.
