Description
King Nagura Stone
Nagura stones are very useful accessories for 4000, 6000, 8000 and 10,000 grit finishing waterstones; they are used for cleaning and flattening the stones before and during use, and for creating a slurry of loose grit which is the source of the stones’ unique polishing properties. These small fine dressing stones are used with a circular scrubbing motion (like flattening your coarser stones on glass) to lap the entire surface of the finish stone. Our man-made Nagura should be soaked along with your finish stones, so it’s ready at hand as soon as you take the stone out of the water and at any time during sharpening if a hollow spot or glazed area should become evident.
Approximate size is 7/8″ x 3/4″ x 2-3/4″ long.
