A countersink drills a pilot hole before cutting a conical hole to allow the head of a screw, bolt, or fastener to sit flush with or below the surface of the material when it is fully tightened.

The six bits in this set are made from HSS (high-speed steel) that is tough, wear-resistant, and has high hardness properties. HSS (high-speed steel) has been heat treated to keep a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.

The titanium nitride-coating means they can withstand higher temperatures, are less likely to break, and have greater durability than uncoated drill bits.

The set comes in a plastic case for convenient storage and protection.
