Description

The American Forge & Foundry 3.5-Ton Heavy-Duty Steel Floor Jack (7350) is engineered for demanding professional automotive environments. This robust floor jack provides substantial lifting capacity, making it an essential tool for safely raising a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars to light trucks. Its design prioritizes speed, stability, and ease of use, ensuring efficient workflow in any service bay or garage. Crafted from high-quality steel with a durable finish, this jack is built to withstand the rigors of daily, heavy-duty operation. The intelligent hydraulic system facilitates rapid lifting and controlled lowering, enhancing both productivity and safety during vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • High Lifting Capacity: Capable of lifting up to 3.5 tons (7,000 lbs), suitable for a broad spectrum of passenger vehicles and light trucks.
  • Rapid Lift Technology: Features a double-pumper hydraulic system that quickly raises the saddle to the load, significantly reducing lift times and improving efficiency.
  • Low Profile Access: With a minimum height of approximately 3.75 to 4 inches, it easily slides under low-clearance and customized vehicles.
  • Controlled Lowering: Equipped with universal joint technology and a precision release valve, allowing for smooth, gradual, and controlled descent of the load.
  • Overload Protection: Includes a built-in bypass system or safety valve to prevent the jack from being used beyond its rated capacity, enhancing operational safety.
  • Enhanced Mobility: Rear-mounted swivel casters (around 2.75 inches) provide excellent maneuverability, allowing for easy positioning under vehicles.
  • Long Reach Handle: The approximately 50-inch two-piece handle offers extended reach and leverage for comfortable pumping and precise jack placement.
  • Vehicle Protection: A heavy-duty steel saddle with a protective rubber pad helps prevent damage to vehicle undercarriages during lifting.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Lifting Capacity: 3.5 Tons (7,000 lbs)
  • Minimum Height: 3.75 – 4 inches
  • Maximum Lifting Height: 19.5 – 20.5 inches
  • Overall Length (Excluding Handle): Approximately 28 inches
  • Frame Construction: Heavy-duty steel
  • Handle Length: Approximately 50 – 50.25 inches (2-piece with foam covering)
  • Rear Caster Size: Approximately 2.75 inches (swivel)
  • Compliance: ASME/PASE 2014 (or newer, depending on production date)
  • Color: Red
  • Included in Box: American Forge & Foundry 3.5-Ton Steel Floor Jack, 2-piece handle assembly.

HOW TO USE:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle is on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and place wheel chocks on the wheels that will remain on the ground, opposite the lifting point.
  2. Position the Jack: Locate the vehicle’s designated lift points, usually identified in the owner’s manual. Slide the floor jack’s saddle under the lift point, ensuring it is centered and securely in place.
  3. Assemble the Handle: If not already assembled, connect the two pieces of the handle. Insert the handle into the jack’s pumping mechanism.
  4. Raise the Vehicle: Pump the handle up and down in a full stroke motion. The double-pump system will quickly raise the saddle. Continue pumping until the vehicle reaches the desired height.
  5. Place Jack Stands: Once the vehicle is lifted, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle’s designated support points, close to the jack. Ensure the vehicle’s weight rests securely on the jack stands, not solely on the floor jack.
  6. Lower the Jack (Slightly): Carefully turn the release handle counter-clockwise (usually slowly) to gently lower the vehicle until its weight fully rests on the jack stands. Remove the floor jack from under the vehicle. The floor jack is a lifting device, not a support device.
  7. Lower the Vehicle (After Work): Once work is complete and the area is clear, reposition the floor jack under the lift point. Pump the jack handle a few times to slightly raise the vehicle off the jack stands. Remove the jack stands. Slowly turn the release handle clockwise to lower the vehicle completely to the ground.
  8. Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is fully on the ground, remove the floor jack and store it properly.
