Nordic Pure 10x10x1PM8C-6 Furnace Air Filters MERV 8 Pleated Plus Carbon 6 Pack – 10x10x1 are made of a dual material where the MERV rated media has been fused with a carbon layer. These filters help eliminate unwanted odors and trap most airborne dust and particulate matter for fresh, clean air. Odorous gases and vapors (VOC) are attracted to and held by the activated carbon material while maintaining excellent airflow. All Nordic Pure pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame. A metal mesh support grid is bonded to the pleats for extra support. The filters use permanently electrostatically charged material that acts like a magnet to help dust cling to the air filter. Additionally, Nordic Pure anti-microbial filter media inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold for a healthier environment. MERV 8 Plus Carbon air filters are comparable to filters rated MPR 800. We recommend changing your air filter every 30-90 days to maintain maximum efficiency and economy.
