Using round shank tools, the operators attention must stay constantly focused on precisely positioning the tools bevel edge by turning, twisting & rolling the tool handle. In contrast, the square shank of the Easy Wood Tool always has the tool riding dead flat on the tool rest. When cutting, the tools handle is kept parallel to the floor & the cutter is simply moved straight into the work. This easy technique is a boon to beginning turners or turners that have struggled with standard turning tools & techniques.
Midi is for turning bowls on mini-lathes. Multi-sided carbide cutter tips are long lasting and easily replaceable.
This tool comes with the 3/8″ Ci4 Diamond Detailing Cutter.
Maximum overhang off the tool rest is 2-1/2″.
