HOW TO USE:

• Opening the Knife:
• Using the Flipper: Hold the knife with the pivot end facing up. Place your index finger on the flipper protrusion (the small tab extending from the back of the blade when closed). Apply light pressure and push down on the flipper. The SpeedSafe assisted opening will quickly snap the blade open.
• Using the Thumb Studs: Alternatively, place your thumb on one of the thumb studs located on the side of the blade. Push outward and upward with your thumb to initiate the blade’s rotation, and the SpeedSafe will complete the opening.
• Engaging the Liner Lock: Once the blade is fully open, the liner lock will automatically click into place. Visually confirm that the metal liner has moved over to brace against the base of the blade, securing it in the open position.
• Using the Knife: Carefully perform your cutting task, always cutting away from your body and fingers. The sharp Sandvik 14C28N blade is designed for efficient cutting.
• Closing the Knife:
• Disengaging the Liner Lock: Locate the liner lock (the metal piece inside the handle that rests against the blade’s tang). Use your thumb to push this liner lock towards the side of the handle, away from the blade.
• Folding the Blade: While holding the liner lock disengaged, carefully fold the blade back into the handle using your other hand or by gently rotating the handle. Ensure your fingers are clear of the blade’s path.
• Engaging the Tip-Lock: For added safety during carry, slide the small Tip-Lock mechanism located near the pivot on the handle. This will physically block the blade from opening inadvertently while stored.
