In 1970, the Whiteside Machine Company began manufacturing special parts and making repairs for the furniture industry in Hickory, NC. As the company’s reputation grew, they expended their operations to include product offerings for businesses and hobbists, including high-quality router bits. Today, Whiteside router bits are the undisputed favorite among woodworkers. This bit is a basic single flute straight bit that is made out of carbide to extend its life. It can also be used as a flat bottom veining bit. Model SC062: 1/4″ shank, 1/16″ cutting depth, 3/16″ cutting length, 1-1/2″ overall length, 1 flute.
