Description
The Veritas Double Edge Flush-Cut Saw has the teeth set in such a way that a dowel (or other projection) can be sawn flush to the surface from which it projects. The trick is that every second tooth on the blade is set to one side only, while each “in between” saw tooth is left without any set and therefore lies flush with the surface of the blade.
Therefore even as the 22 tpi Japanese tooth-pattern blade makes its aggressive cut on each pull stroke, the unset teeth do not disturb the adjacent surface. The blade is thin and flexible enough to allow it to be pressed flush to any surface while also remaining stiff enough for good control.
Teeth are cut in both sides along the length of the saw allowing the saw to cut from either side. The saw is 11-1/2″ long including its 4-3/4″ long blade.
