Japanese Iyoroi handmade Cabinetmaker’s Chisels feature “white steel” laminated-blade construction for superb sharpening and edge-holding characteristics.A layer of high-carbon steel hardened to Rockwell c65 along its full length provides an extremely hard, long-wearing cutting edge.The bulk of the blade is lower-carbon steel tempered for tough, shatterproof resilience.At 11-3/4″ overall, these chisels are long enough for a comfortable, full-fisted grip.Bolstered tang and heavy steel ferrule at the butt allow use of mallet or hammer for heavy work.Inch equivalent is just under 1/8″.
