Description

The American Forge & Foundry FM-Approved Rotary Fuel Pump (8210) offers a reliable and safe solution for transferring various flammable and combustible liquids from drums. Engineered to meet high national and international safety standards, this manual pump ensures efficient refueling of vehicles and equipment in diverse settings. Its robust construction and thoughtful design make it an essential tool for automotive, industrial, and agricultural applications where quick and secure fluid transfer is paramount. With its self-priming capability and complete accessory kit, the AFF 8210 pump provides a straightforward and compliant method for managing fuel and other approved liquids.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • FM Approved Certification: Meets stringent national and international standards for handling flammable liquids, ensuring a high level of safety and compliance.
  • Efficient Fluid Transfer: Delivers a high flow rate of up to 10 gallons per minute (38 liters per minute), allowing for rapid refueling of vehicles and machinery.
  • Self-Priming Operation: Initiates fluid flow automatically, eliminating the need for manual priming and simplifying the pumping process.
  • Vacuum Release Mechanism: Contributes to smooth and continuous operation by preventing airlock and maintaining efficient flow.
  • Wide Fluid Compatibility: Suitable for use with gasoline, diesel (up to 15% ethanol blend), bio-diesel, kerosene, oil, Class I & II flammable liquids, naphtha, and alcohol.
  • Anti-Static Hose with Non-Sparking Nozzle: Enhances safety during fluid transfer by minimizing the risk of static discharge and sparks, crucial when handling flammable materials.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Model Number: 8210
  • Manufacturer: American Forge & Foundry (AFF)
  • Flow Rate: 10 gal/min (38 liters/min)
  • Max Fluid Temperature: 250° F (120° C)
  • Max Viscosity: 2000 SSU
  • Drum Compatibility: 15-gallon (50-liter) to 55-gallon (205-liter) drums
  • What’s Included: 8-foot anti-static hose with non-sparking nozzle, nozzle holder, 2-inch bung adapter, flame arrestor, telescopic suction tube with strainer

HOW TO USE:

  1. Prepare the Drum: Ensure the drum containing the liquid is placed on a stable, level surface. Remove the bung from the drum.
  2. Install the Pump: Thread the 2-inch bung adapter into the drum opening. Insert the telescopic suction tube of the pump through the bung adapter and into the drum. Tighten the pump assembly securely to the drum. Adjust the telescopic suction tube’s length to reach near the bottom of the drum.
  3. Attach the Hose: Connect the 8-foot anti-static hose to the pump’s outlet. Place the non-sparking nozzle securely into the fuel tank of the vehicle or equipment you intend to refuel.
  4. Begin Pumping: Rotate the pump handle clockwise in a steady motion. The pump will self-prime and begin drawing liquid from the drum and dispensing it through the hose.
  5. Monitor Fuel Level: Keep an eye on the receiving tank’s fuel level to prevent overfilling.
  6. Stop Pumping: Once the desired amount of liquid has been transferred, stop rotating the handle. Remove the nozzle from the receiving tank.
  7. Store Safely: Disconnect the hose and store the pump and accessories in a clean, safe area, following all local regulations for storing equipment used with flammable liquids.
