HOW TO USE:

1. Mounting: Securely attach the strip heater to the intended surface. For optimal heat transfer in surface heating applications, firmly clamp the entire length of the heater to a smooth, flat metal surface. If using mounting tabs, ensure the terminal end is securely fastened, allowing the opposite end some flexibility for thermal expansion.
2. Electrical Connection: Connect the heater to a 120V power source using appropriate wiring. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes. If the voltage to ground exceeds 300V, secondary insulators must be used.
3. Temperature Control (Optional): While the SD1001 does not include an integrated thermostat, it can be controlled by an external temperature control device. This can be a Caloritech™ CPA or CPB control panel, a mechanical thermostat, or a bi-metal thermostat installed directly on the heater’s surface to regulate temperature.
4. Operation: Once properly mounted and wired, apply power to the heater. The heater will begin to generate heat according to its wattage and voltage.
5. Monitoring: Monitor the heating process as required by your application to ensure desired temperatures are reached and maintained.
