HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure the power source is disconnected before beginning any installation or wiring. Verify that the mounting surface is clean, dry, and capable of withstanding the operating temperature of the heater.
- Mounting: Position the Caloritech SS1391 strip heater on the desired surface. Use appropriate fasteners through the slotted mounting holes (5/8″ L x 9/32″ W) to securely attach the heater. Ensure firm contact between the heater’s base and the surface for optimal heat transfer.
- Wiring: Connect the 120V power supply to the two offset bolt-type terminals located at one end of the heater. Use high-temperature rated wires suitable for the expected operating temperature of the application. If the voltage to ground exceeds 300V, secondary insulators must be used.
- Control Integration (Optional): For precise temperature management, connect the strip heater to a compatible temperature control device such as a Caloritech™ CPA or CPB control panel, a mechanical thermostat, or a bi-metal thermostat installed directly on the heater surface.
- Power Activation: Once all connections are secure and verified, restore power to the circuit. Monitor the heater’s initial operation to ensure proper function and heat output.
