This heavy-duty cast iron planer weighs 1,300 lbs and offers exceptional rigidity and accurate planing for years to come. The hinged top provides easy access to the rollers and knives, and the hood comes standard with a 5-inch dust port for convenient attachment to any dust collection system.
Equipped with four high-speed steel knives, the cutterhead rotates at 4,800 RPM, producing an impressive 19,200 cuts per minute. The anti-kickback fingers and pressure bar are positioned close to the cutterhead to ensure an exceptional finish. The well-designed infeed and outfeed rollers feature roller bearings for extended roller life, while the sectional infeed and chip breaker allow for multiple boards to be planed simultaneously.
For added convenience, the adjustable bed roller facilitates both rough and finish planing. The solid steel outfeed roller is machined with small serrations, ensuring a smooth finish while providing reliable feeding. The two-speed gearbox, equipped with machined detents, can be easily adjusted from rough to finish work from the front of the machine.
You can effortlessly raise the massive ribbed cast iron, ground-finished table by 1/16 of an inch with each turn of the hand wheel. The model 201 is available with a 7.5-horsepower motor, in either 3-phase or single-phase options. This planner is ideal for small to medium-sized shops with continuous planning needs.
